Backside of Navy Carpet: Nylon Webbing
Nylon crosshatching, also called webbing, creates a grid / matrix of attachment points for carpet fibers to be woven to. This gives the area rugs it’s thread count and provides durability.

Carpet Installation
Double-sided carpet tape with the blue liner is safe to use on all surfaces except painted floors and enables you to reuse your carpet runner without damaging the surface fibers or binding edge!
It works on surfaces above freezing temperatures and works on dry install surfaces. Be sure to clear surfaces of dirt, gravel, and debris.
For carpet on carpet installations use sticky polyethylene as a skin-like layer first and then install the runner with carpet tape to create grip between surfaces or simply don’t use carpet tape.
Carpet tape is NOT required, but always highly recommended as it enables you to reuse your runners and rugs and get the most out of your investment.

There is no typical or average navy carpet runner length. Navy runner rugs are custom cut for their individual specific purpose, event space, and/or to match the length of the step and repeat backdrop.

There is no typical or average width for a navy carpet runner. If you plan on taking photos, a minimum of 5ft width is suggested to ensure the carpet is captured in all full-length photos easily. Major award shows use a minimum of 6ft wide for this same reason. The maximum seamless width possible is 12ft, as this is the full material roll width.

The navy carpet pile yarn content is 100% nylon, sometimes referred to as twisted nylon. The backside is a woven polypropylene webbing which locks the carpet fibers into a plush grid. It is the highest quality USA manufacturing commercially available.

Navy Carpet Runners share the equivalent durability of a high quality residential carpet and can be reused many times and potentially for many years. Residential rugs are rated for low foot traffic over a long period of time, up to 20 years. We use them in high foot traffic scenarios and at major events which drastically shortens their lifespan. Weather, installation, removal, maintenance, storage, and care are all factors that can shorten the lifespan of these rugs. Since they are extremely high quality, they can be reused if properly installed, maintained, and stored. Never tape the surface of the runner to prevent damage to the carpet binding as the bound edges are the least durable part of the carpet. Until the rug is spot-stained beyond recovery or the binding is damaged, our runners can be reused over and over.

Yes, navy carpets are absolutely reusable, especially if installed with double-sided carpet tape. DO NOT tape the bound edges / surface of the carpet fibers, as you may destroy the bound edges and/or pull carpet fibers out as you remove it. You can easily reuse your carpet for dozens of events and/or many years depending on foot traffic and care.

Our Navy Carpet is 7/16” of an inch, .4375 inches thick, sometimes rounded up to .44 or marketed as 1/2” thick. This measurement is the “pile height” a factor in safety & carpet plushness.

The back of a navy carpet is made up of woven polypropylene which is a durability webbing, not a non-slip backing. Double-sided carpet tape should be applied to prevent slipping accidents and injuries. Clear coat latex is an alternative you can request, but not as effective. It also adds to production time as it must dry.

Custom carpet runners and area rugs usually take our team 24 hours to cut & bind. However, based on your in-hands deadline and our production load it may take up to 3 business days. During major events like Fashion Week and Super Bowl production may take longer due to extremely high demand.

No. Carpets are large, heavy, and costly to ship. Shipping will be added to your order based on the runner size, your destination, and the shipping method requested. Ground is the default shipping method. Urgent deliveries such as 3-Day, 2nd Day, or OVERNIGHT are available for an upgraded price. Local curbside or upper floor delivery is available in the greater NYC area.

Runners and rugs take 1-7 business days to deliver via ground shipping. East coast destinations take 1-3 days. Central USA is 3-5 days. West Coast orders take 5-7 days. We ship from our NY / NJ warehouse.

All of our carpets, runners, and area rugs are always bound with a complementary color binding for a polished look and to prevent fraying. If no binding / unbound carpet material is desired, a 5% cost will be added to your order.

Yes! Our navy carpet is durable enough for outdoor use in good weather. Avoid rain, snow, and/or high winds. Runners can easily get waterlogged and become extremely difficult to move due to their sheer added weight when wet.

Navy Carpets should be cleaned, completely dry, and rolled up on their original cardboard shipping tube to prevent creasing, wrinkles, and damage. Use plastic wrap, bungee cords, rope, or duct tape to secure the carpet in a roll around the cardboard shipping tube. Carpet fibers should face inwards towards the cardboard tube. Store in a dry place and easily use your rugs for many years.
